Eagle Alloy celebrated 40 years of business last weekend with a large 40th anniversary party. Founded in 1979 to meet the needs of customers looking for a short-run steel foundry and stainless steel foundry, Eagle Alloy has grown into a successful casting facility that aggressively competes globally. After four decades, we have a lot to celebrate.
On Saturday, July 27, over 600 employees, family and friends came together to enjoy a meal from a choice of three local establishments, take a plant tour, play games, and enjoy good company. A dunk tank provided employees and kids a chance to “Dunk-A-Boss” which raised money for the Salvation Army.
In addition to the 40th anniversary, Eagle Alloy was celebrating 500,000 hours of No Lost Time, a measure of excellent workplace safety. Several Michigan elected officials and high-profile members of the business community attended and spoke at the event. Speakers included Congressman Bill Huizenga (R-MI); State Senator John Bumstead, Muskegon Chamber of Commerce President Cindy Larsen; and former State Senator Goeff Hansen.

Their remarks centered on Eagle Alloy's role in the Western Michigan community, and on the need to continue promoting growth in the region's manufacturing industry. Eagle Alloy employees then took the stage to raffle off 20 prize giveaways totaling over $11,000 in value. Guests took home prizes ranging from high-tech Yeti coolers to a ride-on lawnmower from Eagle Alloy customer, John Deere.
